card front swap--Girl bday

Good Morning!! Wow..today is the last day of January already..this month has flown by..
I joined a swap on the cricut MB and chose to make the girl themed birthday card front..this is my second kind of this swap and have to say I love the idea of just having card fronts..maybe one day I will get motivated enough to make some more for all kinds of occasions..
I used one of my cricut carts for the party hat..and of course used my cuttlebug for the embossing..added some glitter mist to the white paper and for those cuts, I used my nestabilities..

I cut this card out of plain white cardstock at 5.5 x 5.5 I then embossed each side of the card using the Blooming Flowers embossing folder! I added some color by using my zig marker. Cut the flower out of DCWV cardstock using my cricut! Added some daisy border using one of my punches..and of course..my stickles!! (I just love my stickles unless it clogs up..LOL)

April Project 1 For the Cuttlebug Blog

Here is my first project for April!! The theme is flower power!! Each month there is a challenge on the blog--be sure to play along---there is always a great giveaway!! But we, the DT, do a Challenge every month and we also do a couple projects using the same theme and any cuttlebug item we want!
So here is a card I made..I used my cricut to cut the flower (Storybook cart) and then embossed it with Swiss Dots..used some stickles and there is my flower! I also used Stylized Flowers embossing folder for the orange paper (more flowers LOL) and added some glitter on the embossed area!! (So easy..just use your zig pen.or another glue pen..then spinkle with glitter). I used a border punch on the orange paper too..can you tell? It kind of blends in..LOL!
Let me know what you think...I love comments!!
Please join us over at http://cuttlebugblog.blogspot.com/ to play along! Can't wait to see what you create!

St. Patrick's Day Card

I based this card off a challenge (1) from Cuttlebugblog.blogspot.com

You had to use atleast 1 cuttlebug folder and emboss and use the colors green and gold..

So I used my divine swirls and then heat embossed on top of that..used some gold shimmery background paper and some ribbon that has some gold.for the green..the clover and embossing powder!

What do you think?

Another Christmas Card

Okay..here is the newest one..I seen something like this somewhere so I decided to make my own version of it..used some white core paper and my cuttlebug, used an emery board to "distress" it to show the white core and used some distress ink for the saying on the vellum..I used the red ribbon (which I got off a pkg from Bath and Body works..LOL..yes recycling!) Used a ribbon slider and a couple brads..and here is my version!!

I think I may make a few more of these for Christmas!!

Another Transparency Card

Okay..after doing the challenge from practical scrappers..I found this tutorial on splitcoaststampers.com and thought it would be fun to try it..I had never tried to use my transparency as the actual card!! (*I have only stamped on it and attached to cardstock!) so I can up with this!! I stamped some flowers (I wanted them different shades so I used inked my stamp then repeatedly stamped so they would be dark, light etc)..I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock attached it, then added the 3x3 pc of blue then for the inside greeting it is the biggest blue pc. I added some chalk around the edge of the sentiment and some flowers and stickles! And of course a shimmery ribbon!! (which I need some more!! LOL)
