Challenge 32 All in the Family (CA Blog) Bless Our Family

For challenge 32 we were asked to create something "family" oriented..to make a gift for a family member! I bought this shadow box at M's on clearance for 1.99 (good deal huh!!) and I used my cricut (one of the requirements for the CA blog..plus I love my bug!! LOL) to cut the letters at 1 1/2 inches using the shadow and the regular cut..(used Opposites Attract). I bought the butterfly (2 butterflies for a buck another good deal!! LOL) at the dollar store...and used some primas from my stash! Leave some comments..let me know what you think!

Challenge 31 Eggcellent--Make an Easter Themed Project

Here I made 2 single page layouts...I just changed the look a little for each one..I used the cut to length feature for the grass...(I used 3 pcs each..LOL..because I wasn't using a 12x12 page..so I cut them at 6 inches each but they were still just a little short for 2) I used my CB for some embossing.. I may remove the egg on the one and use that spot for adding the year and plan to add the year to the other above the one bunny...

What do you think?

Challenge 28 Going Green! Create a St. Patrick's Day project

Cartridges Used: PDDU

Special tips: I used a rather large "pop dot" to have my little leprechaun pop out!! I cut him at 3 inches, I also used the same cart for my shamrock and went around the edges with stickles. I used Peachy Keen stamps for his face. The corners were made by using a hand punch.

Challenge 24 - 3D

We were challenged to make a 3-D project and I couldn't wait to use my tags, bags, and more cart! I barely ever use it..not sure why...when I can make these cute little purses!! (note to self: don't let my dd see it..LOL..she will be making them non-stop..LOL)...I set my expression to fit to page and for the first time used the bigger size mat..I also used some poster board to make it extra sturdy. I added some dimension to the purse so it wasn't so plain by using my cuttlebug then adding some clear embossing powder to help give it a shine..added in a cut (flower) from storybook..and there is my cute little purse! These would be great for a girl's party don't you think? Mine came out to be 8 1/2 inches when cut.

Just Buggin Challenge..Make something spooky!

I have recently discovered this fun challenge blog...using your cricut!!

So I used a tag from A Child's Life (still the only thing I have cut with this..LOL) and my beloved Hello Kitty cart for the bat...(did I say before that this is my favorite cart!! LOL)

And I came up with this cute little Bat tag..just did some stickles to outline the bat instead of cutting all the other little pieces out this time..I did some chalking of dark yellow and grey (not that you can see it well in the pic..) and used some pop dot foam things for raising the bat some!

Practical Scrappers Challenge..Uses Punches

I love their challenges so I decided to make some Halloween cards and use my border punch as I do not have many punches that cut die cuts out..I also used my new cuttlebug folders..I have wanted these forever and finally found them! Yay!! So what do you think?
