Look what arrived here today...

It arrived!
Not sure how to use it so if anyone has tips..please leave me some comments! LOL!
I wasn't sure about buying one..but my ever supporting hubby insisted I buy one since Paper Crafting Pro had them on sale for 99.99!
Yes 99.99!! My friend Jenny was helping talk me into it too!
So now I wonder..does the sleeve I bought cover the screen for protection or do I buy something else? M's had the silcone sleeves on clearance yesterday for 9.99!! Good Deal!!

Cuttlebug Blog's May Project 2 A Mother's Love Layout!

Here is a layout I did for the Cuttlebug Blog (www.cuttlebugblog.blogspot.com) This is my 2nd project for May--Mother's Day Theme!!
The patterned paper/cardstock is Bo Bunny (provided to me by www.crazyscraps.com our awesome sponsor..check them out..they have daily deals which are SUPER!!)
I am usually the one taking the photos I excited to do a layout with my kids and I! They are truly my whole world..I am so thankful that I was blessed with these two! They make being a mom so much fun and easy! I am very lucky!
I used the following products:
Tartan 5x7 cuttlebug embossing folder (photo mats)
Cricut Mother's Day Cart "Mom" cut at 1 3/4 inch-both regular and shadow cut
Cricut Sans Serif "I LOVE YOU" cut at 1 inch-both regular and shadow cut
Green Primas and a couple brads
A hand punch to punch the photo corners
A punch for the brown border
Cat's Eye Ink to ink around the photo mats
I added some dimensional tabs to the back of "Mom" to make it stand out!
And the patterned paper that has the poem on it pulls out so my children (or who ever reads it) can see the words I wrote to them (which is hidden)
I hope you like it! Please feel free to leave me comments!
Also, if you haven't joined us yet at the Cuttlebug Blog..come on over! I would love to see your projects this month!
The poem I found online and it reads:
A Mother's Love
A Mother's love must always be strong,
her work is hard, her day is long.
But all in all, she is truly blessed,
for there is nothing so warm
as a crowded nest.

May is Mother's Day at the Cuttlebug Blog!

The theme is still Mother's Day!! This is my first project for May for the Cuttlebug Blog! We do a challenge for the first of each month then we do 2 projects for the same theme! So in a couple weeks I will have my 2nd project up!

Don't forget to join us every month over at
http://www.cuttlebugblog.blogspot.com/
There is always a great goodie package given away to one lucky person!
In just a few days, we will be announcing the winner of the EXPRESSIONS over there!

For this card I used and did the following:
Flocked paper (my friend Mary bought me this a long time ago and I am still using it!! Thanks Mary)
White velvet lace ribbon (it stretches..LOL..I need to fix the top I see when looking at my card)
White ink rubbed over the top of the embossed black paper (which was cut with the cricut)
Swiss Dots embossing folder
Silver Leafing pen around the edges of the embossed paper

Now the fun part:
The butterflies!!
I stamped them on a transperancy then on the one that has purple I used stickles (wanted to see what they would like with using stickles)
then the other butterfly I used the glitter glue and glitter I bought at the stamping show...I actually bought the glue 2 years ago at the first stamp show I went to and then couldn't remember what to use and how to do it (which it is soooo simple LOL) so this year when we went back I watched and learned again so now I did it! LOL)

While I think they both work..I think the glitter and glue covered my image much better!

Feel free to leave comments! I love reading them!

May is Mother's Day Themed at the Cuttlebug Blog!

May is here..time for a new challenge at the Cuttlebug Blog!! So for the challenge, we were given the Cuttlebug Bloom Dots embossing folder and some Bo Bunny paper to use (www.Crazyscraps.com is our sponsor..check them out!)
I decided I really wanted to try to make an Easel card and this is my first attempt at one! What do you think? I watched the tutorial on a different site to learn how to make them..they are pretty easy LOL!!
I used my CB butterflies embossing die/folder for the butterflies and added some pearls/rhinestones to them! I had some MM alpha stickers in my stash so I used those and this will be my card for my Mom! I hope she likes it!!
Now don't forget to join us every month at www.cuttlebugblog.blogspot.com There is always a great giveaway on there!!
I look forward to seeing your creations!! Thanks for looking at mine!!
